We are committed to being your partner in good oral health and designing a customized treatment program based on your needs that will help you maintain a beautiful, healthy smile for life.

At Rutherford Pediatric Dentistry, we are dedicated to providing you and your child a comfortable, FUN, and kid-friendly experience the moment you both walk through the door. Our goal, as your hometown dentist, is to provide your child with a dental experience that makes him or her feel at ease with our gentle approach.

Our Open-Door Policy allows parents to stay with their child during the appointments so that we can form a team that creates a nurturing and comfortable environment. We are open to all questions that you may have and are very excited to be a part of the town of Spindale!

Our team and doctors, consisting of pediatric specialists and general dentists who focus on children, go way beyond the basics to make sure each visit is safe, relaxed, informative, and fun.

We are ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS. Call to schedule your child’s better dental experience today, or make an appointment online!

Rutherford Pediatric Dentistry is a division of the Rutherford County Family and Children’s Dental practice and a proud affiliate of the NC Pediatric Dentistry Network.

Most Dental Insurances Accepted

We accept and file most dental insurance plans and are in-network with the major dental insurance companies. We also accept Medicaid and North Carolina Health Choice insurances. If you do not see your dental plan listed below as an in-network provider, please do not hesitate to call. We are always interested in doing our best to work with the insurance providers that our patients carry.

MEET THE DENTIST

David Thome, DDS

“Brush in the morning to keep your friends, and brush at night to keep your teeth!”

Dr. John Selph was born and raised in Ocala, Florida. He attended Wake Forest University to receive his undergraduate degree and earned his dental degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. He completed his specialty training in Pediatrics at the University of Maryland in Baltimore.

Dr. Selph’s goal as a dentist is to make sure that each experience is fun and positive! “I am passionate about pediatric dental care and believe it has the unique opportunity to teach and motivate my patients. I hope that each experience builds confidence in my young friends and their families.” Selph strives to make each patient feel loved. He says he views each patient as his own child and wants to share their successes in and out of the office!

When not in the dental chair, Selph loves spending time outdoors and exploring what all nature has to offer. He also values quality time with his wife and two boys. Before he started practicing dentistry he was a school teacher, basketball coach, and principal!

Dr. Selph is a part of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association. He looks forward to establishing a dental home for your little ones and cannot wait to create healthy smiles along the way!
